STUDENT UNIFORM POLICY

Shirts: Plain Polo-style or button up dress shirts with a collar (garnet or white only). "Polo" shirts must have at least two buttons and a collar. Pockets are permissible. Oxford shirts must button all the way down. Shirts must be tucked in at all times. Name brand emblems are not allowed on shirts, unless the shirt was purchased through the school online store.

 Undershirts: Plain garnet, gold, black, gray or white ONLY.  

Belts: Plain black, brown, navy blue or tan ONLY – no decorative or large belt buckles. Any other color is illegal.   

Pants: Plain khaki pants with no outside pockets; no jean style pants– no capri or rolled pants. No joggers.   

Shorts/Skirts: No shorter than 2 inches above the knee – plain khaki with no outside pockets.  

Jackets: Garnet, Gold, solid black, white, tan, or navy blue can be worn during the day. No visible logos allowed. No contrasting colors, stripes allowed. Jackets ordered from Franklin High can be worn.

Sweatshirts/Sweaters: Solid white, black, tan and school colors. Those ordered from Franklin High will be allowed.  No hoods worn at any time.  Illegal jackets must be placed in the locker.  

Shoes: A full shoe must be properly worn; boots and tall shoes must be pants covered. No sandals, crocs, flip flops, slippers, knee high boots, or other inappropriate footwear is allowed. Shoe reward days will be announced. Socks must be visible and solid white, tan, or black.

 

Jeans: Same criteria as the uniform pants - no capri or rolled pants. Blue or black jeans only are acceptable without holes.

Spirit shirts: The students have the option of wearing a school-approved, spirit shirt or a standard school uniform shirt on designated days.
Accessories: book sacks, book covers, or any other item containing graffiti, or writing/symbols that are profane, disruptive, gang-related, violent, tobacco or alcohol-related language are not allowed. No hats, hair rollers, head scarves, do-rags, skull caps, or head wraps of any kind are to be worn.

  1. Emblems are not allowed on any of the above items.  They must be removed or permanently covered with a patch or button.  No tape is allowed.    All visible body pierced jewelry except for earrings on the ear shall be prohibited.

(Final dress code decisions are made by the school administrator.)
